Leidos is seeking a Network Switching Design Engineer Senior to support related efforts for SMIT the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management Integration and Transport (SMIT) Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) including cybersecurity services network operations service desk and data transport. Ultimately the Leidos team will support the Navy and Marine Corps in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. The successful candidate will support network engineering for voice video and data communications (such as BAN LAN WLAN WAN cross domain solutions communications security and piers connectivity) in the NMCI and USMC networks.• Comply with ITSM processes and procedures Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239.• Execute LAN BAN and Data Center Switching network design integration and implementation Develop update track and perform Internet Protocol (IP) scheme and address management.• Typically requires B.S. Degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience (in Systems Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Engineering Management or related discipline). May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Willing to hire candidates that have advanced certifications and in-depth SDA experience in lieu of a degree.• Five (5) or more years' experience on programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity.• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise and or Security.• Must have in-depth knowledge of Software Defined Access (SDA) capabilities to include experience with Fusion routers Border Nodes and Cisco DNA-C.
